TA Triumph-Adler: fifth year in succession with significant revenue growth

  • Turnover growth of 5.8 percent
  • Improvement in all important key figures
  • Successful key account business
  • Expansion of cooperations and new solution and service concepts
Nuremberg, 15.05.2018. Continuing on the road to success: with the conclusion of the 2017/2018 financial year on 31 March this year, TA Triumph-Adler GmbH once again announces a significant increase in revenue compared to the previous year. With total sales of €301.6 million and growth of 5.8 per cent, the company continues to operate successfully in a challenging market - for the fifth year in succession. At the same time, it was also possible to increase the profit before taxes. One of the growth drivers was the successful expansion of the key account business. The focus on IT solutions and the cooperation with innovative partners have thus paid off.

In the past financial year, TA Triumph-Adler was able to enjoy positive revenue development in almost all markets. Direct sales alone recorded growth of 9.1 per cent in the 2017/2018 financial year compared to the previous year. Growth of 7.1 per cent was also achieved in the indirect channel under the UTAX brand in Germany. In addition, the foreign subsidiaries and the recovering export business contributed to the very good result of the TA Group. The company was thus able to record growth for the fifth year in a row and has increased in all important key figures, such as service revenues, sales figures or the installed base of printing and copying systems at customers, compared to the previous year.

The reasons for the extremely positive business development last year were once again the successful marketing of A3 colour systems and the expansion of the key account business. Here, the focus on IT solutions and cooperation with innovative partners paid off in particular. TA Triumph-Adler sees further growth potential for both segments in the current financial year.

"We see one of the greatest opportunities in digitalisation. For us, it is an important driver for future revenue increases," says Christopher Rheidt, Managing Director of TA Triumph-Adler. "Here we will enrich our core business even more with innovative solutions and services and thereby secure it." The expansion of the DMS/ECM business was the right decision in this context, he said. "We will continue along this path with our sister company, Ceyoniq Technology GmbH, among others, and expand our portfolio to include solutions for mass business," says Rheidt.

Basically, the company supports German SMEs with its approach of "down-to-earth digitalisation". "What is meant is digitisation that is oriented towards the concrete needs of our customers in their respective contexts," says Rheidt. "This means: we help our customers to reconcile topics such as investments and resources with the ever-increasing demands of the digital transformation."

In this context, the innovation initiative "TA Future Factory" has provided important impulses for business development with new partnerships and solutions. "The Future Factory has enabled us to successfully offer our customers innovative services as well as new products," says Dr Daniel Wagenführer, General Manager Business Development at TA Triumph-Adler. "For example, together with Bundesdruckerei, we offer various solutions relating to IT security." In this financial year, TA Triumph-Adler will continue to add new solutions to its core business through cooperation with innovative partners.
