TA Triumph-Adler closes the 2021/2022 financial year with slight growth and positive earnings

Nuremberg, June 15, 2022 - TA Triumph-Adler GmbH closed the 2021/2022 financial year, which ended on March 31, 2022, with total revenue of EUR 285.5 million. Despite the difficult global conditions, growth of 3.6 percent was achieved. A slight increase compared to the previous year, which was also impacted by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Profits were not as strong as expected, but TA Triumph-Adler was still able to close the financial year with a positive result.

As expected, TA Triumph-Adler also continued to feel the effects of the global coronavirus pandemic in the past financial year. "Last year, we had to deal with the effects of the pandemic, which primarily meant a shortage of raw materials, disrupted supply chains and increased delivery costs. This created major challenges in all channels, which we overcame with a great team effort and by setting the right priorities. We can therefore be satisfied with the result in view of the general conditions mentioned," says Christopher Rheidt, Managing Director of TA Triumph-Adler, assessing the past financial year.

Turnover in direct sales under the TA Triumph-Adler brand fell slightly compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, the market in the DACH region and the Czech Republic is proving to be very robust: the company's direct sales business is impressing with a record level of incoming orders. The number of machines in the field (MiF) - the contractually bound printing and copying systems used by customers - increased slightly once again in the 2021/2022 financial year. The print volume was also stable once again and remained at the previous year's level. Thanks to the increase in MiF, the Professional Service division also achieved noticeable sales growth.

Software solutions and production printing establish themselves, UTAX Group achieves annual targets

The newer business areas - ECM & ICT and Production Printing - are also making a growing contribution to the company's success. The company is particularly satisfied with the success of its first own production printing system, the TA Pro 15050c.

The UTAX Group was also affected by the general conditions, but was able to achieve a very good result in the face of the challenges and reach the targets set for the year. This also applies to the subsidiary UTAX UK, which also achieved its annual target in the 21/22 financial year in a market particularly affected by the pandemic.

Holistic sales strategy pays off

Christopher Rheidt: "Thanks to our two-channel strategy, we were able to achieve a good result in the past financial year, even if we would have liked more, of course. For the new financial year, it is still important to 'fly by sight', as the general conditions remain unchanged. Another challenge will be to find answers to the shortage of skilled workers. We are sticking to our long-term strategy, but it will still be necessary this year to take short-term measures in response to the challenges. As in the previous year, it remains difficult to make serious forecasts regarding delivery delays, but we are striving to be as reliable as possible and continue to be transparent. Above all, we would like to thank our partners and customers for their loyal cooperation in these times."
